the Netherlands > Germany > Switzerland > France

Annecy. after crossing three countries today i am now in the city which i'll call 'home' for the next month. everything looks so pretty and actually has been really lovely all day, too. also: isn't it crazy how easily and fast you can cross borders in Europe?!

i think receiving handwritten letters is what i like the most in the whole world

Floriade 2012

right now i spend most of my days at the Floriade, which is where i'll work these next 8 months! it's fun - i learn about flowers, get to speak (almost) all languages i know every day and meet lots of interesting people. i even shook hands with the queen.
